Ravioli refers to a filled pasta in general, which can be prepared with different shapes: square or rectangular, gathered, or half-moon or triangle.
In some regions, the ravioli are stuffed with ricotta cheese, with or without vegetables (with the exception of Trentino-Alto Adige, where the filling is meat), while in Liguria (where “ravioli ‘is the name of stuffed pasta par excellence) are stuffed both with meat and meatless.
