This evening we attented at a wine tasting of our Piedmon wines at the restaurant Via Barcatta in Lyon.
Together with Simone Barcatta, the chef and the owner of the restaurant, we have selected some of La Trava wines and we introduced to French clients.
We started the dinner with the white wine Favorita d.o.c. 2015 as an aperitif to welcome guests.
Chef Simone has also prepared some Italian cold meats paired with Langhe Arneis d.o.c. 2015.
Then we decided to offer a classic dish of our region and of the Piedmont tradition: tajarin with ragù sauce of Piedmont meat.
This dish is paired with Dolcetto d’Alba d.o.c. 2014.
To accompany the tasting of Langhe Nebbiolo d.o.c. 2015 and Barbera d’Asti d.o.c.g. 2011, chef Simone decided to offer a selection of Italian cheeses: Toma Piemontese, pecorino with truffle.
We finished this beautiful evening with Moscato d’Asti d.o.c.g. 2015 and small pastries.
